Reporting an Absence

At United Sixth Form, we aim for an environment which enables and encourages all members of the community to be proud to belong and to achieve of their best. For our students to gain the greatest benefit from their education, it is vital that they attend regularly and should be at USF, on time, every day USF is open, unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.

  • For USF students under 18 years of age, a parent MUST confirm the absence. (Over 18s can notify the Attendance Office themselves).
  • Parents to please advise the Attendance Office by 09:00 am at the latest in case of absence either by email or phone.
  • Email to:
    attendance@avonbourneacademy.org.uk and office@unitedsixthform.org.uk
  • Phone (or leave a voicemail 24/7):

  • All medical appointments to be arranged outside of school hours where possible. Parental confirmation is also required or a copy of the relevant appointment letter should be scanned to the Attendance Office.
